Working in the IT industry, I frequently find that many of my friends and family approach me when it comes to anything “computer” related and they have very little knowledge about IT in general.

I find that one of the most mysterious topics for them is the Cloud. They often hear terms similar to, “it is in the cloud“, or they own devices like an iPhones and find themselves receiving messages that their “cloud storage is almost full“. In reality they don’t really know what that means or what they should do.

This post is to help those that don’t understand the Cloud, making certain terminology understandable and hopefully take away the mystery of the Cloud.

No matter your background into cloud computing, I think this certification is a MUST in the AWS certifications, it is not one of the easiest of the AWS certifications, however it will give you a good foundation and security focus when making use of the services AWS has to offer as well as design for cost-effective and fault-tolerant solutions.

Why I don’t think Googles Data Loss Prevention API is ready for use with images

Loss of data can be detrimental to both the business holding the data and the individual who’s data has been compromised resulting in drastic consequences. Loss of data is a breach of both privacy and security and with data storage being so cheap, it has expanded massively in volume. While data breaches of sensitive data have been occurring for a long time, they have been becoming more frequent.
