Working in the IT industry, many of my friends and family approach me when it comes to anything “computer” related, due to them having very little knowledge about IT in general with one of the most mysterious topics for them being the Cloud.

They often hear terms like, “it is in the cloud“, or they own devices like an iPhones and find themselves receiving messages that their “cloud storage is almost full“.

In reality this can be confusing when they don’t really know what that means or what they should do.

This post is to help people understand the Cloud, clarifying certain terminology and hopefully take away the mystery that surrounds the Cloud.

No matter your background into cloud computing, I think this certification is a MUST in the AWS certifications, it is not one of the easiest of the AWS certifications, however it will give you a good foundation and security focus when making use of the services AWS has to offer as well as design for cost-effective and fault-tolerant solutions.

Why I don’t think Googles Data Loss Prevention API is ready for use with images

Loss of data can be detrimental to both the business holding the data and the individual who’s data has been compromised resulting in drastic consequences. Loss of data is a breach of both privacy and security and with data storage being so cheap, it has expanded massively in volume. While data breaches of sensitive data have been occurring for a long time, they have been becoming more frequent.
